Heavily involved in the English and Irish traditional music scene, Alex' first gigs at the festivals were with young celtic fusion group Beltaine. He now is in demand as a session musician and plays Banjo and Guitar with Irish group Triskel and the ceilidh band Blackthorn. He's often one of those playing post-gig tunes at the festivals through the night, it is this obsession that has lead to his individual fiddle style, he's an English fiddler, with the fiery technique more commonly seen in Shetland or Ireland, and it really gets your feet moving.
