Ben's style on piano is derived from a wide range of traditions. A strong influence is the Cape Breton tradition, something he knows well since he is an experienced dancer. If you shout loud enough, we can usually get him up to show of his moves. We don't like to push him too much though....he's also an experienced kick boxer!!!
For those of you that don't know what a 'The Nord 88' is..... it's quite possibly the finest stage piano ever made. It has lots of lights, buttons and is a very nice bright red colour. Ben's specimen has one 3.8mm scratch, a small patch of gaffa tape, and a dent that he put in it very carefully using precision tools.... because you see, he bought a nice case to go with it...so the instrument wasn't naturally getting the 'giging look'.....oh yeah, it makes a pleasant tone aswell!
