Dogan Mehmet is talented, young and passionate about all things music. A musician since the age of 3, Doe plays Violin, Guitar, Melodeon, Mandolin and Percussion as well as many of His native Turkish instruments. Dogan deliveries a diverse mix of Turkish and English traditional music on a battery of instruments. Brighton born and bread, Dogan is a second generation Turkish Cypriot, with both sides of his family from the island. His first language is Turkish. His heritage forms a big part of his musical identity, along side his love for Southern English traditional music. As a musician Dogan has performed in a wide cross-section from jazz and funk to soul and indie rock.
Dogan is becoming a well sort after musician having appeared on stage
with artists including (twice mercury nominated) Eliza Carthy,
(instrumental wizard) Steafan Hannigan (Band of Hope/ Bjork), The Park
Bench Social Club, Jake Jon (EMI/Parlophone) Dogan's also an actor,
with appearances on The Hit BBC1 comedy series The Omid Djallili Show
already under his belt!! After a very successfully first UK tour, Dogan
is currently working with Producer/Musician Tom Wright
